Walk to the mass rock

The children took part in the annual walk to the mass rock for the sixth class graduation. We were blessed with wonderful sunshine as we walked. School camogie/hurling league

In May and June, children in the senior classes took part in the school field league. The teams which took part included Westmeath, Antrim, Kerry and Offaly. Each team was captained by a child in sixth class. After two games against each other in the group stages we got to the semi finals and finals. These games were eagerly contested …

Sports day 2021

In June we had a great sports day organised by Ms. O’ Kelly. The children took part in many different activities including parachute games, welly throwing, egg and spoon races, tug of war, three legged races, rounders and many more. Thanks to Ms. Murphy for organising the ice cream stall which capped off a great day.

School tour senior classes 2021

In June 2021 we had a school tour which took in a park of the Limerick greenway from Rathkeale to Newcastle West.

Congratulations Alison!

Congratulations to Alison Davis (3rd Class) who competed in the U12’s Ladies English Singing competition in Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh in Kilfinane  on Sunday 4th June. Alison came 1st in this category and earned herself a beautiful shield which she gets to keep for one year. Well done Alison![envira-gallery id=”1386″]

Junior Entrepreneur Project (JEP) Showcase Day 2017

5th and 6th Class pupils along with their teacher Mr. Lohan attended the Junior Entrepreneur (JEP) Showcase Day in the Woodlands House Hotel, Adare on May 31st. Here they displayed keyrings which they manufactured as part of their project. They also got to see products manufactured by other schools. [envira-gallery id=”1397″]

Teddy Bear Picnic

On Thursday 11th May, children in Junior Infants – 2nd Class had a Teddy Bear Picnic. The weather was beautiful. Each child brought in his/her teddy. There was great excitement. The children introduced their pets and told us  how old he/she was, amongst other interesting facts.[envira-gallery id=”1096″]

Leaf Tree Programme Curragchase 4/05/2017

On May 4th, 3rd – 6th class children travelled to Curraghchase Forest Park where they took part in the Leaf Tree Programme. It was a very enjoyable and informative event. [envira-gallery id=”1031″]

Easter Egg Hunt
