The children took part in the annual walk to the mass rock for the sixth class graduation. We were blessed with wonderful sunshine as we walked. In May and June, children in the senior classes took part in the school field league. The teams which took part included Westmeath, Antrim, Kerry and Offaly. Each team was captained by a child in sixth class. After two games against each other in the group stages we got to the semi finals and finals. These games were eagerly contested …

In June we had a great sports day organised by Ms. O’ Kelly. The children took part in many different activities including parachute games, welly throwing, egg and spoon races, tug of war, three legged races, rounders and many more. Thanks to Ms. Murphy for organising the ice cream stall which capped off a great day.
