Grandparents Day, Scoil Íde Naofa, Raheenagh.
Grandparents day was celebrated in Raheenagh National School on Tuesday 27th January as part of Catholic Schools week. Fr. Keating parish priest led the prayer service.
We were delighted to be joined by a wonderful group of Grandparents for this very special occasion. The children enjoyed the experience of showing off their school to their grandparents and took part in singing, dancing and musical entertainment. They even got all the grandparents to sing along with them to some old time favourites. Grandparents then visited the children in their classrooms to see some of their work. It was a really enjoyable experience for all.
This event would not have been such a huge success without the help of our Parents’ Association who provided refreshments for all after the prayer service.
